Our rooms
At Conkers we have created a calm, neutral and welcoming environment where children feel comfortable, safe and ready to learn.
Each room is thoughtfully organised with dedicated areas for different types of learning allowing children to explore activities such as creative play, reading, building and imaginative play.
We also provide cosy spaces where children can relax, read or have some quiet time, helping them feel secure and supported throughout the day. Soft lighting throughout the nursery creates a peaceful atmosphere.
Baby Room
We have a separate Baby Room for children aged 3 months to 2 years. It's a calm, nurturing environment where babies explore through sensory play and gentle routines. We work hard to create a home-from-home atmosphere where babies learn and grow.
The Baby Room has its own outdoor area where babies are free to explore the outside world safely. We regularly take the babies out into the local community to visit places such as the park, local shops or the library, and they can also join the regular baby groups held at The Balsam Centre.
Toddler Room
The Toddler Room is situated in the largest area at Conkers and shares its space with the Pre-School area. It is safe and secure while also allowing social time with the older children.

Children develop confidence, independence and social skills through guided play and discovery, and toddlers have access to our spacious outdoor area. We regularly take toddlers into the local community to visit the park, local shops or the library.
Pre-School Room
The Pre-School Room is the largest room at Conkers and provides plenty of opportunities for children to play and learn. Children begin to prepare for school through early learning, creativity, phonics and problem-solving activities.

Pre-school children also have opportunities to explore the local community and take part in enriching extra-curricular activities such as yoga.
Lending Library
We have a Lending Library full of books for all children and families to enjoy.
