Lead Caretaker/Cleaner

12 hrs per week | Competitive rate of pay | Sickness and generous holiday allowance

The Balsam Centre has a vacancy for a Lead Caretaker Cleaner for 12 hours a week, working flexibly for 4 hours per evening within the hours of 4.30pm–9.00pm, Wednesday to Friday.
​
This role will include general cleaning of the building, locking up and providing cover for the other members of the cleaning team during holiday and sickness periods.
​
The successful applicant will be a flexible, experienced, thorough and helpful team player who is able to work alone on their own initiative, and lives within a 30-minute travel distance of The Balsam Centre.

Nursery Manager, Conkers Nursery

37 hrs per week | Salary range £30,000-£32,000 | Job share considered

Are you passionate about early childhood education and ready to lead a nurturing, dynamic team? We’re looking for a warm, motivated and experienced Nursery Manager to guide our nursery into its next exciting chapter. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and supporting a team of dedicated early years professionals, ensuring a caring, stimulating environment where children can thrive, while building trusting relationships with parents and families. You will also maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and curriculum delivery while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
You will have Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (or equivalent), proven leadership experience in a nursery or early years setting, a genuine love for early childhood development, excellent communication, organisational and people skills, and a big heart, an open mind and a clear vision.

Minibus drivers, CAT Bus

Based in Wincanton, South Somerset Community Accessible Transport require part-time minibus drivers.
​
Hourly rate of pay is £13.68 including holiday pay (from 1 April 2025).
​
Hours are flexible but may involve some early morning, evening and weekend work.
​
Applicants must have a caring disposition and hold a full clean driver’s licence with D1 category. Suitable applicants will be subject to minibus test and DBS checks.
