Slow down and step into nature...
If you’re struggling with your mental health, Step into Nature offers a gentle way to reconnect - with yourself and the natural world around you. This programme is designed to help you find moments of peace, breathe a little easier, and rediscover a sense of calm through the healing power of nature.

Spend time with other people, exploring and appreciating the natural world.

Connect with nature as a means of finding tranquillity and peace.

Learn techniques that will help you emotionally in the future.

Improve your mood and ease anxiety, stress or depression.

Develop practical outdoor skills that might help in future work or volunteering.
​You’ll explore the 5 Pathways to Nature Connection and learn how to incorporate them into your daily or weekly routine:

Location
Most programme activities take place on Mondays in The Balsam Centre Wildlife Gardens. Once a month, we'll go to Moldrams Ground Local Nature Reserve near Pen Selwood. Nature is flourishing at both locations.

There’s no need to attend every week and you can combine Step into Nature with other Balsam Centre activities at any time during the day.
