Conkers mission

Our mission

At Conkers Community Nursery, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported. We promote high-quality learning and development through purposeful play, positive relationships, and strong partnerships with families.

Our vision

Our vision is for every child to grow into a confident, curious, and capable learner with strong foundations for future success and wellbeing.

Our values

Nurturing:  We care for each child with warmth and respect, supporting their emotional and developmental needs.

Learning through play:  We deliver engaging, well-planned experiences - indoors and outdoors - that encourage exploration, independence and early learning.

Belonging & community:  We create a strong sense of belonging where every child and family feels welcomed and connected. We work closely with families and the wider community to build meaningful relationships that enrich children’s learning and wellbeing.

Our team

Our team of experienced and caring staff are passionate about supporting children during their early years.

All staff are trained in Safeguarding, First Aid and Early Years Education to ensure the highest standard of care for your child. We also have a dedicated, qualified SENDCo who supports our children and families, and works closely with other agencies to meet the needs of every child.

Our family-centred approach

We take a family-centred approach, recognising that every child’s experience at home is an important part of their learning journey. By working closely with parents and carers, we ensure that children feel supported, understood and secure, both at Conkers and at home.

We also understand that children go through many important transitions, such as starting nursery, moving up into a different room or preparing for school. We work closely with families during these times so that every transition is carefully supported, positive and responsive to each child’s needs.

As a smaller nursery, we’re able to create a warm, welcoming community where families feel valued, listened to and involved in their child’s early years experiences.
