Wincanton Women's Enterprise Programme

A six-week fully-funded programme for women in and around Wincanton who want to start their own business, offered in partnership with sustainable entrepreneur and legendary PR guru Lynne Franks.
The course is based on Lynne's SEED (Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics) Programme, will take place on Fridays from 9.30am to 11.30am and runs for six weeks starting from 7 June. You must live locally and be able to commit to the full course to be eligible for a funded place

Saturday Cooking Club (past project)

A bi-weekly cooking club for children aged 8-11 in receipt of free school meals.
We began with an hour of physical activity before teaching the children how to cook a variety of healthy meals.
Parents/carers were invited to join us for lunch to sample what the children had created.

Chat Cafe

A friendly, volunteer-run drop-in cafe that aims to encourage people to get out of the house, chat and make new friends, helping to prevent loneliness and isolation. Drinks, refreshments and a simple light lunch are served in return for a small donation.
A Health Coach from Wincanton Health Centre comes every week to help with emotional and bereavement support, weight management, dealing with isolation and loneliness, pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes support.

Anyone can come - just drop in. If you're a friendly and confident cook, why not volunteer to help us run the Chat Cafe? See our volunteer page for more information
HAF Club (past project)

Part of the Happy Healthy Holidays Somerset programme funded by Somerset Council, HAF was a holiday club for children in receipt of free school meals.

We connected with our sister charity, The Growing Space, and Bootmakers in Wincanton to provide a variety of nurturing activities, such as learning how to grow food and making seasonal crafts.
