Nature is all around us, no matter where we live - in parks, gardens and window boxes, on roadside verges and in the scrub.

Email your photos [three max] with your name, age and telephone number to Izzie Koch by tapping on the button below (opens email window). Please also provide the email address of your parent or carer if it's different to the one you're using as they'll need to agree to the terms and conditions below.
Please make sure your photos are the highest quality you have but no bigger than 10MB each, and don’t forget to tell us when and where you took your picture! You may need to email your photos separately if the files are big.

Terms & conditions
Please make sure you read the following before entering the competition. Ask your parent/carer for help if necessary:

Entries must be an original photo of local nature in the South Somerset area.

Photos must be your own and taken with a camera or mobile device. Please do not send us photos taken by someone else, or images with watermarks or copyright information. By entering the competition, you guarantee that the photos are your own original work.

Minor digital adjustments are acceptable but please do not change your original photograph with tools like Photoshop. Do not use filters, stickers or emojis.

Entrants must provide an email address for their parent/carer, who will be contacted by The Balsam Centre to agree to your participation in this competition on your behalf.

The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on Sunday 31 August 2025.

Entries will be judged by a professional photographer and Balsam Centre staff.

Prizes are non-exchangeable and no cash alternatives will be offered. Prizes will be presented at the Wild & Green Community Fair on Saturday 27 September 2025.

If we do not receive a response after notifying an entrant that they have been selected as a winner, we reserve the right to select another winner in their place.

The personal information you provide when entering the competition will be used by us to organise the competition, including contacting entrants about the arrangements to collect their certificate and/or prize. The personal data of entrants will be kept to enable the use of their photos at the Wild & Green Community Fair. You may ask us to remove your data from our database at any time by emailing info@balsamcentre.org.uk.

Entrants retain the copyright to their photos but by entering this competition, you grant The Balsam Centre the right to use your images in promoting its services including the Wild & Green Community Fair.
